This website describes the history of Tay-Sachs. Warren Tay and Bernard Sachs, the two physicians who are the first to report the incidence of the disease and the disease named after them.

This article explains the enzyme replacement in Tay-Sachs disease. Researchers conducted an experiment with two Tay-Sachs disease children age 14 and 7 week months infant. The procedure is done by giving a patient a weekly repetitive injection of pure hexosaminidase A. However, this therapy technique is not effective.

This video shows how the gene therapy works. Researchers used mice in this study because they have a similar disease as Tay-Sachs disease. They injected the AAV vector the brain of the mice.
